Priority One
Is a a 9 part young adult series that involves college-age students having conversations about the Priority One Book and its many different applicable topics.
With collaboration from Katie Szabo, and Gospel Outreach. This 9 part series plans to air on YouTube, 3ABN, and other Adventist broadcast networks.
About the Project
Starting this program from the ground up, I was responsible for Co-Producing, Directing, and Primary Editor. While Katie Szabo was also a Co-Producer, Co-Directed, Graphics, and Set Designer; we produced a fantastic series.
Initially we had to start finding our talent. We reached out to a multitude of people, to not only host the show, but to also be panelists in the program. Once that step was completed, we narrowed down our picks to 9 people and 1 host.
Next came our set design and filming! We wanted an ambient look when it came to our set, focusing on softer lighting. Just from one look, and you can feel the warmth and casual setting.
Then began our 3 days of filming. Each day had 3 episodes recorded. Our day schedule started at 9am and always ended on time at 2:30pm. All 3 days went smoothly with the occasional reshoot because of some audio static, but nothing we couldn't handle.
Then came the editing, with 3 different camera angles multi-cam editing was the most efficient way to tackle this project. Turned out those little hiccups on audio while filming became huge issues as anytime I increased the gain, it became more apparent. Decrackles, Dehisses, and Dehumms all were applied to ensure we had the highest quality audio we could possibly have. I created a 28:30 cut and a full version on YouTube.
Gospel Outreach plans on releasing the series August of 2026.
